Losing someone close to you can be overwhelming and everyone experiences grief in their own way. At this difficult time, we are here to offer support, guidance and signposting to further help if you need it.
What to do when someone dies
If a loved one passes away, there are some practical steps that need to be taken, including registering the death and making funeral arrangements.
Looking after yourself
Grief can affect both your emotional and physical wellbeing. You may experience a range of feelings, including sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness. These are all normal responses.
It can help to:
- Talk to someone you trust
- Maintain a routine where possible
- Take care of your physical health (sleep, diet, and activity)
- Seek support when you need it
